What Should I Bring
Do I need to bring a bed?
Yes, a comfortable blanket or bed that is theirs from home. Preferably something we can wash if needed. If your pet has a tendency to destroy bedding we would prefer that you bring an older bed or blanket and warn us so that we may monitor the behaviour.
We are an electric heated fan forced air kennel.
Should I have my own food?
Yes, please bring the food that your pet is accustomed to eating at home. When your pet is in a new environment, he or she will appreciate the comfort of eating food that is familiar.
You may bring canned/frozen/home-cooked food if your pet requires this as part of their diet. We have a fridge in the kennel for pet food and a freezer is available. When packing the food please bring a few days extra in case of a longer stay. We also find that with the extra exercise at the kennel some dogs need to eat a little more to maintain their weight.
Note: If your pet has allergies it would be best for you to send some specialized treats along so that your best friend doesn’t feel left out.)
This is not a time to try out a new brand of food or treats for your animal friend.
Feedings are served in stainless steel dishes, so if your little one will eat better from his or her own bowl from home, feel free to bring that along.
NO Bones! We ask that you refrain from bringing bones with an exception of the raw diet.
Are my toys allowed?
Yes, you may bring your toys, balls, kongs and we will endeavor to return them to you.
What should I bring to wear?
Dogs: Bring a flat collar, or partial chain collar as full chains are dangerous during playtime and need to come off inside the kennel. Please ensure to have your dogs’ identification tag attached. If your dog must remain on leash for playtime outside please bring their usual leash.
A Leash for the extra fun walks outside of the play park if allowed.
Cats: Please bring a collar with an identification tag as well as a leash if you would like to have your cat walked.
Cold weather items, sweaters, jackets and booties are welcome.
Will you be able to take care of my medical regimen?
Yes, we are able to administer injections and pills. Bring along extra in case of inclimate weather and unforeseen events.
Do I need my Vaccination Papers?
Yes, We require a copy of all your current vaccination records.
You may bring, fax or e-mail them before arrival.
They are your current and up-to-date vaccination records for all animals entering the kennel including Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Para-influenza, and Parvo virus) and Bordetella (please refer to general policies).
